Caught from the Baltic Sea's cold, clean waters — the same fish our Icelandic team grew up eating — our whole dried sprats bring a taste of the sea straight to your dog's bowl. Hand-sorted, gently dried, and 100% sprat. That's it. Because your dog deserves food you can actually trust.
Supplementary feed from whole fish – sprats
Sprats are small fish that belong to the herring family and are considered forage fish. Smelt (Osmerus eperlanus eperlanus), also called “tint” in Estonian and “smelt” in English, is a small fish that inhabits lakes in the Baltic Sea basin.
Both sprats and smelt are a beneficial combination of protein (58%) and polyunsaturated fatty acids Omega-3 (4.3%). Sprats and smelt are renowned for their nutritional value, as they contain a high amount of polyunsaturated fats, including eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), which are considered essential in a dog's diet, supporting heart health and improving circulation.
All our fish products, like all other DOGSLIKEFISH products, are prepared in special ovens with a drying regime that preserves 70–80% of the beneficial components found in whole fish. As raw material, we generally use Baltic Sea–caught sprats, which are carefully hand-sorted before drying.
Feeding Recommendations:
Depending on the size of the dog – 5–7 fish per day
Always ensure your dog has enough fresh drinking water!
