Complementary feed from whole fish – Sprats
Sprat is a small fish that is part of the Herring family and belongs to the group of forage fish. Smelt (Osmerus eperlanus eperlanus) is a small fish that lives in the lakes of the Baltic Sea basin. Both fish are a beneficial symbiosis of protein (58%) and Omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acid (4.3%). Sprat and Smelt are renowned for its nutritional value as it contains high levels of polyunsaturated fats, including eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), which are considered essential in a dog's diet, promote heart health, and improve blood circulation. Our whole fish products, like all other DOGSLIKEFISH products, are cooked in special ovens and a drying mode that allows you to retain 70% -80% of the beneficial components found in whole fish. As a raw material, as a rule, we use sprats caught in the Baltic Sea, which are carefully hand-sorted before drying.
Feeding recommendations:
-
Depending on the size of the dog - 5-7 fishes per day
- Always provide enough fresh drinking water!
