PRIVACY POLICY OF THE COMPANY SIA NOVA TRADER

Personal data processing and confidentiality of the online store and website www.dogslikefish.com (hereinafter – the Website).

The controller of the processing of personal data and personal identity numbers of the buyers is the company SIA NOVA TRADER (hereinafter – the Company).

The purpose of processing personal data and personal identity numbers of buyers is the fulfilment of orders, sale and delivery of goods, and informing about current events.

By registering in our Online store and/or using the Online store, the Buyer confirms that he/she is informed that the Company is processing the Buyer’s personal data within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation and the Personal Data Processing Law of the Republic of Latvia.

In order to register the Buyer in the Online store, thereby enabling the Buyer to receive advertised promotions and services, as well as to offer the Buyer other benefits and privileges, we process the Buyer’s name, surname, telephone number and e-mail address.

In order to identify you as the buyer and recipient of goods, issue an invoice, ensure the delivery of goods and fulfil other obligations arising from the concluded agreement, the Company processes the Buyer’s name, surname, telephone number, e-mail address, residential (delivery) address and billing information.

The Company processes the Buyer’s name, e-mail address and phone number in order to send the Buyer’s transaction information and administrative communication materials, such as confirmation of registration or purchase, reminder of a non-completed purchase or information about the delivery of goods.

In order to answer the Buyer’s questions filled out in the communication section on the Company’s website, in order to enable the Buyer to directly contact the Company’s personnel by phone or electronically, the Company processes the following personal data voluntarily provided by the Buyer – name, surname, phone number and e-mail address. The Buyer’s personal data will only be used to contact the Buyer and answer the Buyer’s questions, comments or suggestions.

The telephone conversations can be recorded in order to control the quality of the customer service, organise the fulfilment of contractual obligations of the service and ensure ordering goods by phone. Records of conversations are stored for no more than 2 months, except for cases when they were requested by law enforcement agencies or criminal offenses were established.

The Buyer is entitled to add, correct or delete the data provided about the Buyer in the Online store.

To ensure participation in lotteries and contests of goods and services, the Company processes the Buyer’s name, surname, e-mail address and phone number, as well as information necessary for the lottery (for example, the date of purchase, the purchased product, or the check number). By expressing a desire to participate in lotteries and contests, the Buyer agrees and does not object to the processing of his/her personal data.

 

Reminder of an incomplete purchase

We inform you that we will send a technical support e-mail within 72 hours from the moment when the Buyer has not completed the purchase in the Company’s Online store. This is to ensure that the Buyer does not have technical problems during the purchase and to cancel the product reservation.

Personal data storage period

The Company will store the Buyer’s personal data as long as the online store or website www.dogslikefish.com is used, or as long as necessary to achieve the aforementioned processing purposes, unless longer storage time is specified or permitted by applicable laws and regulations. If the data processing takes place on the basis of the consent given by the Buyer, the data will be processed as long as the Buyer’s consent remains valid and is not revoked, unless further data processing is otherwise provided for.

Transfer of personal data

By registering in the Online store and/or using the Online store, the Buyer confirms that he/she is informed about the transfer of the Buyer’s personal data to the personal data processors who provide services on behalf of the Company (for example, the supplier and courier, accounting records of the processor, online store platform operators).

In order to fulfil our obligations to you, we may transfer your personal data to business partners, data processors who perform the necessary data processing on our behalf, for example, developers and service personnel of IT infrastructure, marketing agencies, leasing companies, courier services, etc. These companies are required by law and our cooperation agreement to protect your personal data and process it only in accordance with our stated purposes.

Upon request, we may transfer your personal data to government and law enforcement agencies to protect your legitimate interests, if necessary, by drafting, filing and defending legal claims.

The operation of this Website, as well as all relations between you and the Company, are governed by the regulatory enactments of the Republic of Latvia, as well as by the current legislation of the European Union.

In processing personal data, the Company complies with the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation No. 2016/679 and the Personal Data Processing Law, as well as of other effective regulatory enactments of the Republic of Latvia.
